Duh! A pic of Géraldine... *evil grin*

It just occurred to me that I never posted these two pics of Géraldine... may it be a good omen for tomorrow's final... *scratches head* uhm... whatever.

(Btw I've had a crappy week... and most of my friends are out of town tonight... *grabs cold beer* )

Spank said...

plus your red bull, vodka and beer oh and another beer... :P
:D

Spank said...

Who is that terrible baldy behind *G*?
He looks vaguely like bruce willis

Spank said...

Do you think *G* has had an eating disorder in the past, as she is very thin?

Nadl said...

i love vodka-redbull :p
but beer is still the best ;)

Spank said...

And that is just for breakfast :)
;) j/k

Nadl said...

lol no!
i shouldnt drink that often as i do right now but who cares :P

Spank said...

That's what all teenagers say :)

Spank said...

*hic*

Nadl said...

yeh!! austrians love binge drinking

Bumsby said...

The baldy is Jerome Bianchi, physio of the Fed Cup Team (and father or uncle of Amélie's manager, Olivier Devisme)

I think the only disorders *G* could have ever had are either smoke or brain-related ;)

Bumsby said...

What is "binge" drinking? Btw I like to drink but I don't like it when I "want" to drink often in a certain phase of my life... :P (not the current one luckily)

Nadl said...

binge drinkin.. erm how could i explain it! the person who can drink the much is the best! so all the teenagers drink & drink & drink and will see how much alcohol they can drink.. in the end most of them have an alcoholic poisoning! ok stupid explanation but i hope you get it :P

Bumsby said...

Ah ok... I've never done it but I see :P I only drink as long as I felt like it.

In Italy sometimes it's done while playing a card game. The one losing the round has to drink. So the more rounds you end up losing, the more drunk you become... :P

Spank said...

Surely the english "idiots of the island" are the world leaders in binge drinking.

When I will walk down the street tomorrow morning there will be puddles of vomit with alcohol fumes coming off them..

Spank said...

"Brain-death in a bottle" is what I call it now..

Bumsby said...

Also the Scandinavian drink heavily... why is it that Southern Europeans drink less? *thinks*

Spank said...

I bet that is Goven sitting infront of *G*?

I wonder who the lezzie is that is trying to chat *g* up? :)

Nadl said...

yeah but the austrians and ecspecially the germans are close to the britains ;)

i had once nearly an alcoholic poisoning :/ i mean i had it but i'm happy that they didn't call the emergency doctor because this can be very expensive then

Spank said...

They drink less because they have nice weather so they can go out and do things instead of being stuck in with the boring relatives because it is too cold to go out..
OR
The southerners have religion instead
OR
They have more money (and little sense) and are spoilt and their lives are too boring, so they want some excitement because all the danger has been removed from their lives..

Bumsby said...

How do you know she's a lez... LOL.
I used to drink a lot but not to the point of being ill from it :P spanky do you drink?

Bumsby said...

I like the third explanation. They have security, no surprises, everything works, everyone is gentle and kind, etc. during the day. In brief, is that a life?!?! LOL j/k

The South is more animalistic. Less civilized. Not as repressed, in a way. So we (we?!?! *scratches head*) don't need to drink to express ourselves...

Nadl said...

ok girls (:P) i'll go to bed, tomorrow's my last schoolday on saturday *jipeee*

have a good night

Bumsby said...

Good night! Have a nice "last Saturday" ;) :) *wave*

I often used to to think it was similar to going to rollercoaster rides or horror movies - just so they could have a thrill but a safe one.

No, I don't drink I stopped when I was 9 and realised it did not make me happy. I'm also intolerant of alcohol :D
Which is very bad as I have irish heritage LOL :D

Spank said...

Have sweet dreams N :)

Spank said...

Clearly baldness runs in the family...:)

Bumsby said...

LOL you could have stopped earlier :P ;)

What family baldness are you talking about? I've never seen Olivier *shrug*

Spank said...

Is not Olivier Devisme the young balding bloke who goes jogging with Amelie?

Bumsby said...

I don't know... I've only seen Xavier jogging with her.

I'm sorry you've had a crappy week. I've had the kind of week that drove me to go out and buy cheesecake w/ chunks of Snickers candy bar in it. Oh, and whipped cream on top. I think I'd better go eat it.

Your friends may be out of town but your online friends are here

Bumsby said...

@mary: sounds as depressing (!) but I'd never find such a thing in Italy *eek* (understandably) so I just resorted to a classic.

@hugo: thanks *hug*

Nah, not depressing! For the last week, I've changed my diet a bit (lower fat) and my brain is rebelling. The snickers cheesecake is tasty, actually. It was exactly what my brain wanted.

I am, however, upset that the mosquitoes still seem to prefer me over everyone else. (They're *supposed* to bite children!) I got three more bites this morning while painting.

I read that vitamin B-1 can help. Wonder if that's an urban myth...

Bumsby said...

When they really want you.... nothing helps. I used to "attract" them a lot, but lately they're leaving me alone. I must have gotten more scary... he he.

Spank said...

Or you got more hairy.. :P

Spank said...

Svetlana is playing doubles with Nadia at wimbledon.

Spank said...

Maybe we are all having an "I need sustenance" week?

I've had take-aways for 3 night running which is not like me!
I had house special Ho Fun noodles (meat, prawns and vegetables with large flat rice noodles) for two nights and tonight I had Phad Thai noodles and Tom Kar Kai soup (coconut milk with galangal, lemon grass, mushrooms, lime leaves, bamboo root slices and chicken)
I've not had that for a year and a half and it was delicious! :)
Sadly my stomach is too heavy to move now... :D

Bumsby said...

I assume you like soups? *eek*
I love soup shops *heart-eyes* but we don't have any in Italy *sobs*

(Btw somehow I thought of that picture of you at the match... LOL)

The food descriptions have made me hungry again. (It's so strange. Today I got up, had breakfast, and went to the Farmers' Market (cherries--the last of the season (wah), peaches, heirloom tomatoes (the first of the season), avocados, and 9-grain bread.) When I got home and started to get ready to paint, I was hungry again (and this was maybe 1.5 hours after eating breakfast.))

I just cleaned the window screens. They were filthy, disgusting...I should take the recyclable stuff to the center now, but it's...oh heck, it's only 33C or so. I could probably carry stuff without fainting from the heat.

Spank said...

Let the cats take it, all they do is laze around the house all day.. :D

I read that the mosquitoes go for certain body odors, which, apparently, I have. Well it's either odor, or the particular culture of little critters one has living on their skin. The scientists aren't quite sure yet.

Last night as I was trying to get to sleep, I kept hearing the little bzzz as the damn skeeters were doing fly-by's.

I also read that thiamine isn't going to work. I'm too scared of DEET to use it. I guess I'm just going to have to be unsightly for a while.

Most soups I can't eat here in the UK because they are too acidic for my stomach. Tom Kar I can get away with because it is not laden with tomatoes, onions, chilli or milk etc. *sigh*

Re: the cats. At least I'm able to sit on my computer chair this afternoon. This morning, Fredgirl would not budget from it.

Spank said...

Mary you need NEEM!!!
I'm sure that would work! :D LOL

I hear that the mozzies home in on the carbon dioxide coming from the blood in our bodies.

What about buying some smelly soft cheese I've heard they like that too :)

Bumsby said...

How hot is LA going to be in August? It is bearable? Rome is not. *rolls eyes*

I just hope it's not as damp as Rome.

Anonymous said...

Re: Sveta/Nadia--when they are both healthy, they're an amazing team.

NEEM--heh! Great idea!

As for the CO2, I read a study where scientists had a tent pumped w/ CO2, and another tent pumped w/ CO2 and human body odor, and guess which ones the mosquitoes liked?

Anonymous said...

LA will be very hot, but very dry. So if you are used to humidity and heat, LA will feel pretty pleasant.

Spank said...

I read that they are going to use DDT in parts of Africa to get rid of the mosquitos..

Bumsby said...

*big smile* it's a relief to hear that. I can deal with extreme heat, but NOT with extreme humidity.

Anonymous said...

Yep, to save people from cholera, right? That's been a big debate for a while: which is more important? Birds or humans?

Anonymous said...

Alright, I've got to get more errands done. Enjoy your evening.

Bumsby said...

Have a good afternoon!

Spank said...

What she really means is that Fredgirl wants her chair back :D

Bumsby said...

Poor Mary... just another cat-owned person ;)

Anonymous said...

Fredgirl demanded food when I got back from running errands.
"oh most gracious of beings
oh most gracious of beings my queen
i'm yours to command"

She got her food, up on the counter, away from the big cat who steals her food.

Time to shower the grit/grime/grunge of years past from my body, and see if neem lotion works. (Actually, I think I killed all the skeeters in the house, but I'm paranoid at this point, and willing to try most anything except DEET.)
