Bumsby said...

No, not Stephania, but Stefania. We don't have "ph" in Italian.

Nadl said...

BARBIE said...

Ah I see, thanks B :)

Btw, what's that thing "Misery of Butterfly" of esnips in your blog ???

Nadl said...

Spank said...

Reply to Nadl - A friend of mine had an Italian friend come to stay.
The Italian man said "What's for dinner?"
My friend said "What would you like? I'm going to Lidl to buy food for tonight"
The Italian guy siad "Ergh! German food!"
:D

Spank said...

She plays her fart music on it :D

Bumsby said...

LOL at the Italian's story... where was her from exactly? There are BIG big big differences within Italy.

And where is your housemate from?

sapph said...

LMAO @Spanky... a second front, eh?

We have her outflanked. Hah!!

Bum Squicky, Bum Squicky,
Bum Bum Bum!!!

Bumsby said...

"Misery is a butterfly" is an album by my favorite band, the Blonde Redhead. I wanted to put other albums, too, but they're in m4a and apparently that player will only accept mp3s :(

Bumsby said...

*digs up a tunnel trying to break free*

Spank said...

The Italian was from Italy :P and my friend is from Bristol in west england.

BARBIE said...

Ah I see, thanks Nadl and Bumsby for explaining it to me :)

Spank, it's really funny LOL

Bumsby said...

Didn't you say you had an Italian housemate?

Spank said...

Oh... the thing.. yeti woman.. yes she is italian.

Bumsby said...

Do you know where in Italy she comes from?

sapph said...

"Oh... the thing.. yeti woman.. yes she is italian."

*howls*

Spank said...

No i don't. But she is a christian..

Bumsby said...

Bet she is, and a charitable one. Otherwise she wouldn't live with you.

sapph said...

There, there, little Squeaky.

*pats your head*

Are you feeling ganged-up on? We are a bit rambunctious today, aren't we.

Spank said...

LOL@sapph's remark.

"It" is a pain in the arse.
It was her I had to shout "shut up" at earlier *rolls eyes*
She was shouting in the corridor for no reason.
She went away for a week and it has been so peaceful and tidy without her..
Apparently the landlord has threatened her with eviction if she does not behave herself and treat the other tenants respectfully.

Bumsby said...

*sighs*
ah well, no. I'm just resigned to my fate. Go ahead and torture me.

(lol)

sapph said...

Is it a particularly British thing to be quiet and considerate of your neighbours?

Sometimes I wonder... or maybe it's more a generational thing.

Either way I feel like a real fish out of water a lot of the time. Damn inconsiderate people get on my damn nerves....

*snarls*

sapph said...

"I'm just resigned to my fate. Go ahead and torture me."

Good girl.

;)

Spank said...

The goverment has been trialing "good neighbours" schemes for tenants who are threatened with eviction/jail/asbos.

Bumsby said...

Interesting... what are they about?

Spank said...

Well considering what you dish out sometimes Booby, you can damn well eat it too.. ;)

sapph said...

ROFLMAO

*rubs hands in glee*

And as much as I appreciate that the government is making an effort to give people some legal recourse to deal with that type of person... how friggin' sad is it that we can't just kick the crap out of them or something until they learn to behave?

There's a reason they call it natural selection.

sapph said...

(Sorry, didn't mean to shock your collective delicate sensibilities, but there ya go.)

Bumsby said...

spank, if you have nothing better to do tomorrow, will you please email me the details about that neighbors scheme? I'm really interested. I've been readin a lot about British Urban policies today.

Spank said...

Not a brillaint example from Southwark council in London but the only one I can find -

Where Neighbourhood Housing Offices (for Council tenants) and the Metropolitan Police (other landlords, leaseholders and freeholders) feel that they have a serious case of anti-social behaviour and they have been unable to resolve the problem locally, a referral is made to the Unit.

The referral can be for legal action and/or further resources to gather evidence, or for non-legal resolution.

The unit will always put the needs of the victim and the witnesses at the forefront of managing cases. A package of support will be agreed with the victim and they will be updated on the progress of the case at regular intervals.

We can take non-legal action for cases in the form of:

Acceptable Behaviour Contract (ACB) - A voluntary agreement between the perpetrators and the council to stop the behaviour

Warnings to the perpetrator that further action will be taken unless they stop their behaviour
We can take legal action for cases in the form of:

Possession action (which could lead to an eviction)

An Injunction (with or without powers of arrest)

Anti-Social Behaviour Order (ASBO). Under the Crime & Disorder Act 1998, ASBOs prohibit an individual from carrying out certain acts and/or prohibit the perpetrator from a specific locality. Breach of such an offence is a criminal offence, which could result in imprisonment.

Psychological services are also involved in some schemes so that people can try to over come their urges to be abusive and inconsiderate to others.

sapph said...

Oh, god... stop with the work thinking, you obsessive compulsive workaholic!!!

sapph said...

Wait - the UNIT. That's the Brigadier's group on Dr. Who, right?

Spank said...

It's called "human rights" Sapph. ;)
The UK is in the EU now and we can't kick the crap out of the little f*ckers/cretins/evolutionary runts/scumbags etc
Even human toads have rights now..

Spank said...

No Sapph *G* and Amelie are her work
Her research job is just a passtime secured for her by the local community care unit to assess whether she is suitable for fulltime release..

Bumsby said...

It's about time we refined Europeans taught you odd Brits how to behave!

And it's true about my job. They will release me as soon as my third book is out.

Hugo87 said...

What the hell are yall talking about ? Thanks Busby for the pics and the link

Spank said...

LOL @Hugo :D

sapph said...

LOL at Squeaky's real work.

Spanky, you're sounding like my parents, talking about human rights and how everybody else has to pay for them.

The EU still isn't very popular, huh?

Bumsby said...

Hi Hugo! We're having a Celtic invasion this evening... talking like racists about the costs of human rights :P

Where are the French Revolutionaries?!?!

Hugo87 said...

Bumsby said...

It's too late!!! After you've sacked, looted and plumbered the place over and over!!!

I'll try livevideo maybe, but not tonight :P

sapph said...

I am not a plumber.

I have absolutely nothing to do with plumbing.

Although I wouldn't mind giving Amelie's pipes a good going-over.

;)

Bumsby said...

Wait, sapph says it works on esnips! I'll put the link on the post.

Bumsby said...

plunder.... ah ah, easy making jokes on my English... ;)

sapph said...

Like I say, you're so teasable!!

And besides, it was too good a pun to pass up.

;)

Hugo87 said...

thanks bumsby for esnips

Spank said...

My complaints about evolutionary runts and people who stay in their own little communities and never grow up is out of frustration.

I actually like the EU, it has done marvellous things for the very backwards UK *hugs EU*

I just don't understand why people would come here and then want nothing to do with the country and it's "freedoms" and then get angry with, to the point of murdering, their children when they grow up and behave like normal brits.

sapph said...

Well, you answered your own question. Too many people are indeed "evolutionary runts" and can't see past the clan/tribal dynamic to embrace the larger, global community.

Humanity has come a long way, but we're not even close to being civilized yet. Hope we make one day.

BARBIE said...

Today's Amelie's birthday !!! *yippee*

Bumsby said...

It's tomorrow :P Today the forefathers signed that beautiful essay buddy Thomas had written :D ;)
