Pre-Roland Amélie... *eek*

Looks like I missed a few funny photos during my Internet-less weekend...

*scared* *scared* *scared*

And my favorite: looks like she's really into it. :)

Top photo: Amelie discovers that having a tennis ball stuck in your mouth isn't as much fun as Bengale makes it out to be..

The following pictures are of Amelie trying to get rid of the taste from her mouth :D

LOL @ both comments :D

I think she trusts Bengale too much... and maybe she had eaten a hot pepper flavored energy bar or something like that... LOL

You are at work!?
Here in the UK it is a bank holiday :)

Bumsby said...

Yes I am. We don't think banks are worth making a holiday for here in Italy. ;)

Holiday in the US as well. I feel so sluggish; it's great.

I haven't done anything useful today.

Spank said...

Good, it's healthy not to do anything uselful once in awhile, that in itself is useful.
I'm sure the cats appreciated it :D

Bumsby, banks are the only things that can afford to take frequent holidays in the uk :P

Ok, time for some philosophy talk. How can anything not useful be useful in itself? ;) (j/k)

What is this bank holiday about? Is anyone else having it? I'm glad to see you folks of the British brethren are still tied by your common kindred.

(LOL don't mind my wording, I'm delirious)

Ok lately my brain has been like scrambled egg but...

Doing nothing is useful in that it makes us drop our perceived responsibilites and just "be" in whatever small way that brings us back to ourselves rather than the roles we assume to get by in the world..

It's good for me to not-be-useful because otherwise I'm like an engine that runs too hot, all the time. (Uh oh, that makes me sound like Henin.)

(Of course, you must take this in context. My non-usefulness included cleaning out a small closet, framing some tennis photographs, mounting the photos that were not of a size that allowed standard framing, and uploading hundreds of MG of photos to smugbucket.)

But I didn't sketch, or paint, or ride the motorcycle, all of which are things that I have to concentrate to do. And I only cleaned the closet because the mat cutter was at the bottom of that particular closet. (And it was a tiny closet, and the cleaning consisted of making a pile of things to throw away.)

*nods head in approval*

Don't talk about cleaning to bumsqueak, she has no idea what it means.. :P

Spank, you sound like a delicious scrambled egg :D *licks lips* ;)

I understand what you mean. I tend to identify those moments as "battery recharging".

@Mary: ok, ok, I get the concept of doing nothing as not doing important things. But I like sleeping too much to consider them more "nothing" than sleep.

LOL luckily I seldom clean (I have someone who does it for me most of the time) but I swear, I'm very good at cleaning, if I put myself into it. :D I make everything shine...

I've been trying to simplify things in my condo this weekend. Getting rid of clutter. I think my "putting lots of photos on smugbucket" is also tied in to cleaning up, in a way. So is the repotting.

It's a good thing. I like cleaning up after myself, but that's sort of a philosophy to me!

It's late where you two are--still only 3pm here, and sunny. I'm debating whether I should go play tennis.

It's your mother isn't it!
Just admit it!

Go play tennis! :D

Are you going to put those tennis photos on the wall?
Go on, you know you need to make that place more homely for yourself :)

Bumsby said...

Spot on! ROFLMAO Is there something I can hide from you? LOL
I tell her not to do it, but she does it anyway. She is retired now so she has a lot of time. Personally I don't see it as a philosophy: from the philosophical point of view, I like to clean after myself very much (also because it's the fastest way to find my things, and you have no idea how many things I ask her about because I can't find them!). But in practice, I work 10 hours a day so I really don't have time.

Bumsby said...

Mary, have fun if you go to play tennis (but you know how envious I am that you have time to play tennis :P ;) )

It's late-ish here, so I'll go to sleep :)

Spank said...

*shock* She's going to sleep before 3am!!??!?

Bumsby said...

Yes... I decided I was not too fond of hospital corridors ;)

What have I done with the walls? Let's see...I took down some old paintings...actually I rotated some paintings. Took some old ones down and replaced them with ones that hadn't been displayed. I think this was all triggered by putting up the new canvas of Sveta--that seemed to be the last domino, and everything is affected now.

I had some old bad, badly-framed photos that I removed. I actually took down my small, autographed Sabatini photos; I don't know what I'm going to do with them, but they just don't fit on the wall--too cluttered looking. Maybe I'll move them to the loft;I've almost nothing on the walls up here.

Good night! I'm going back to my mat cutter.

Oh, the US holiday was Memorial Day; it's a holiday to honor members of the armed forces.

I did play tennis. It was fun. I just realized the manager of the club I joined (yes, I joined a tennis club) is French. I never really paid much attention to her before. She was very nice to me tonight, and my overheated imagination wonders....but I suspect she was just doing her duties as a good club manager, trying to keep me at the club as long as possible tonight.

The French lawyer from GLB league--the one who asked me to remove her jewelry before a match (who CANNOT be reading this blog--no way, no way, I hope I hope I hope)--just kept running away too much. Very hot, very intelligent, good player, but...I don't think she liked me.

Sometimes I think that my various past relationships are an iteration towards some stable something. We'll see.
